Dear Devils Parents,

Welcome to Devils Hockey!  We are very excited for another year with returning players and many, many new players!  We are looking forward to success both on and off the ice, as well as a year of development and fun for your player. 
By now, everyone should have heard from their coach.  I want to share a few details for the season to help you prepare.  Please take a minute to read the below in it’s entirety and then feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.  Our goal is to have everyone be prepared before summer comes so that you may rest and relax during the summer vacation.

USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION
USA Hockey Registration Confirmations Needed – These are needed by May 15.  Please go to the USA Hockey website and register your player and then mail the hard copy to:  Devils Hockey, 335 East Washington Street #5, North Attleboro, MA 02760.  The reason why hard copies are requested is because these forms are scanned.  Emailed versions require manual entry, which is very time consuming, with a lot more room for error, and even more importantly getting lost in the email black hole!  Please register and send to me. 

UNIFORMS
The hockey uniform store has come and gone however you will have ONE MORE CHANCE to place your order for any uniform needs – Game jerseys, game socks, your child’s required Devils practice jersey and Devils Hockey APPAREL – such as warm-ups, hats, hoodies, equipment bags and more!  Mark your calendars now for June 24-30.   This will be your last chance to order uniforms to have for your child to start the season. An email will be sent as the date approaches to remind you to place your order. 

PAYMENTS
Your first installment payment for the 24-25 season is due on Wednesday, MAY 1.  Please keep in mind that 1/3 of your balance is due at this time however, ANY AMOUNT may be paid at ANY TIME,  so if you wish to pay in full, go for it.  Remember your tuition is paid in 3 INSTALLMENTS – Due May 1, June 1, July 1.  A minimum of 1/3 of your tuition is due by each of these dates.  See below for tuition costs.  Please keep in mind that you should have made the 95.00 initial payment already.  If you did not, please add this to your May 1 payment. PAYMENTS ARE NOT AUTO WITHDRAWN.  You will need to access the link and make payment.

SUMMMER TOURNAMENT TEAMS
Your coach may have let you know that he wants to submit a summer tournament team.  If interested, each team will be offered 8 weekly practices beginning June 1-August 9.  None will be scheduled the week of July 2-5.  In addition, 2 Tournaments will be provided.  Information may be obtained from your coach as well as on the Devils Website homepage.  Registration must happen as soon as possible so we can finalize or cancel if necessary.  We need to know who is committed to this.

Please note that your team’s season start will be here before you know it!  For vacation planning purposes please note the below dates, as we currently know them.  Please understand that these dates are subject to change, but we will make every effort to keep you informed if that happens. Please plan vacations around the below dates as it is important to have full teams playing in parity games so our teams are best placed for the season.

SCHEDULES
We attempt to keep schedules as consistent as possible. Practice schedules will be posted in mid-August for the first half of the season.  The second half (post-Thanksgiving) schedule will be released in early November.  Your practice nights may change after Thanksgiving due to High School Games being played on Wednesday nights.  This often causes shifts in our practice schedule, but you will be made aware ahead of time.
Game schedules are posted as soon as they are received by the leagues.  Your patience is requested for these game schedules especially at the start of the season since they often come out just days before being played.  We just ask you to EXPECT games to be scheduled every weekend.  I promise you that we share them as soon as the leagues release them.  The leagues do the best they can but there are many variables to consider especially at the start of the season with so many last minute changes to teams and divisions.
Generally, each team will participate in 2 tournaments for the season, one being in the Fall and one being in January/February. I will be working with your coaches to schedule these tournaments for each team and we will get information out to you in a timely manner so you may plan. 
The hockey season has MANY games to be scheduled in a short few months.  In order for these games to be scheduled, please PLAN ON games being scheduled over Thanksgiving weekend, December 27, 28, 29 and February vacation.  It is important to have full teams of players working together to reach the goal of making the end of season playoffs. Every player’s commitment and participation in all season games is crucial to a team’s success.  Please keep that in mind throughout the season. 

TEAM ADMINS
Each of our Devils Teams have a designated Team Admin.  This admin is the liaison between myself and the teams.  A WHATS APP group will be created by each team admin to communicate all important information throughout the season.  It’s a great way to keep informed as well as to share helpful info with each other - Reminders of game times and locations, practice reminders, sharing of responsibilities and fun stuff and basically keeping everyone on the “same page”.   You will be hearing from your admin over the summer months.  Please help coaches and admins out by being responsive and timely with any required deadlines.  It is very much appreciated and makes everyone’s jobs just a little bit easier.  We are all in this “together” and being a “team” off the ice reflects well in our players “on” the ice. 
 
PARENT MEETINGS
Please mark your calendars for pre-season Parent Meetings held in August.  This is a great opportunity to find out what’s planned and expected for the season, meet other families on your child’s team and ask any questions you may have.  These meetings will be held in the BARN at NESV.

I will continue to provide you with updates over the Spring/Summer as information becomes available. We ask for you to only keep yourselves informed and please make every effort to make payments and respond to any requests (use hockey forms and uniform) by deadlines.  Deadlines for you are provided so I can meet MY deadlines to provide you a smooth start to the season. Together we can make this all happen!  I’m truly looking forward to a GREAT 24-25 season. 😊
